Retired Sergeant Daniel Salamone was a well-respected member of the Sutter County Sheriff’s Office and the community that he served with distinction. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of his loss. Beginning in 1972 and continuing until his retirement in 1999, Dan proudly worked in the field of law enforcement throughout his whole career.
During this trying time, Sheriff Barnes and the entire team at the Sheriff’s Office would like to express their deepest condolences to Dan’s family, friends, and fellow law enforcement officers. The irrevocable imprint that Dan’s dedication to his job and the people of Sutter County made on the town is still visible today.
Dan demonstrated the attributes of integrity, devotion, and compassion for the entirety of his professional professional life. His efforts to law enforcement were considerable, and as a result, he earned the respect and admiration of his fellow officers as well as the community he served. Dan was a mentor, a leader, and a steady supporter of his community in addition to being a law enforcement officer. He was a steadfast supporter of his town.
To honour Sergeant Salamone’s legacy and the years he spent protecting and serving Sutter County, we are remembering him and paying tribute to his service. Without a doubt, his dedication to his responsibilities and his affection for the community will not be forgotten.
