A woman who tragically lost her life in a house fire in northern Jefferson County earlier this week has been identified as 54-year-old Kimberly Lynn Brownlow from Birmingham. The fire broke out in the early hours of Tuesday morning, prompting a swift response from the Forestdale Fire Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
The fire, located in the 600 block of Crumley Chapel, was reported at 6:05 a.m. Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze, but tragically, Brownlow was found inside the home and pronounced dead at 7:22 a.m. A second individual in the home managed to escape without injury.
The Alabama Fire Marshal’s Office is actively investigating the cause of the fire, while the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is examining the circumstances surrounding Brownlow’s death. No further details have been released at this time.
