Netizens are still troubled by the story of Canadian TikToker Andrew Dawson, which went viral. The enigma surrounding his story is that a viral content creator who gained notoriety by posting funny videos one day discovers a string of strange discoveries and attracts the interest of the CIA. He is said to be dead shortly after he uploads his last video.
One of the numerous people who can’t seem to get Dawson’s issue out of their heads is Brooke (@brookesobasic), a TikTok user who posted a video outlining the chronology of his controversy.
She says at the beginning of her TikTok, which has received over 4.6 million views, that there is one social media viral story she will always remember: Andrew Dawson’s story. In a video that sparked a flurry of conspiracy theories about cryptids and corrupt government practices, the person claimed to have captured a giant atop a mountain.
Many people have expressed their own opinions regarding the truthfulness of Dawson’s statements, but Brooke has pointed out a few accounts about the Dawson Giant dispute that she finds odd, as well as dissecting the chronology of events that purportedly took place after he published the video.
She starts by describing how Dawson started his TikTok account by posting “normal, goofy, everyday content” that had nothing to do with the weird and paranormal. Brooke claims that when he uploaded this video, it completely altered his life. “It seemed like he had such a big sense of humor,” she adds.
Dawson claims to have taped film of the alleged “giant” in question, which Brooke provides. It appears in the video that whatever is atop the mountain may be interpreted as a very enormous human figure.
Several followers criticized the initial footage, claiming that his hands were unsteady during the video shoot and that the quality was insufficient for anybody to confirm his statements. According to some, he uploaded the video to join the conspiracy theory craze that has boosted the number of followers for other well-known influencers.
As the film goes on, Brooke describes how Dawson reaffirmed his assertions that he saw a giant and that he wanted to go and study the phenomenon to learn more. “Obviously, the TikTok community was getting him excited and pushing him to look for more information,” Brooke explains.
