Shirel Golan, a 22-year-old citizen of Israel has died by suicide. After suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, a lady who was 22 years old and survived the Hamas slaughter that occurred at the Supernova music festival outside Kibbutz Re’im on October 7, 2023, has taken her own life in her residence.
It was reported in Hebrew media that her brother Eyal was cited as stating, “I observed that she exhibited symptoms of post-traumatic stress, such as withdrawing from her friends and putting distance between herself and them.” I requested that she not neglect her own well-being. It was said by her that she does not receive any assistance from the state. She stated that the [Tribe of Nova Community Association] is the sole organization that provides assistance to her.
According to the family of Shirel Golan, who turned 22 today, she has been hospitalized twice and has suffered from post-traumatic symptoms ever since she escaped the terror onslaught. These symptoms include disassociation and withdrawal.
He argues, “If the state had taken care of her, none of this would have resulted in any of this happening.”
Golan was “recognized and treated in the welfare system even before October 7 and especially after,” according to a denial of the family’s claims that was published by the Welfare and Social Services Ministry. This denial was published by both Israel Hayom and Ynet news.
