Francisco Garza III Death: According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a person who was pushing a bicycle along the shoulder of United States Highway 183 was struck and killed by a pickup truck that was carrying a travel trailer. The pickup vehicle was in the midst of dragging the trailer. 42 years old was the age of the victim. On the evening of October 19, the incident occurred on United States Highway 183, which is located roughly three miles south of May, Texas.
Francisco Garza III, a resident of May, was walking south along the paved shoulder of the highway when Hazel Bonilla, 68, of Austin, drove a 2018 Toyota Tacoma and pulled onto the shoulder to let faster traffic to pass. Garza III was walking along the shoulder before the accident occurred. Injuries were sustained by Garza III as a consequence of the incident. Due to the fact that Bonilla, who was pulling a travel trailer that was a 2021 Passport, did not see Garza in time to avoid the collision from happening, the incident took place.
After arriving at the site shortly after 7:30 p.m., a Justice of the Peace by the name of Bryan Thompson came to the conclusion that Garza had passed away at that very moment. According to the officials, Garza did not have any flashing lights on either his bicycle or himself at the time of the crash. Neither of them had any functioning lights. The injuries that Bonilla sustained did not render her unable to function, so she was transported to Hendrick Hospital in Brownwood, where she received treatment for those injuries. Within a short period of time, she was released from the hospital. The location where the crash took place was characterized by dry roads and clear skies at the time of the incident. Seventy-five miles per hour is the maximum speed that individuals are allowed to travel at in this particular region.
