Omar Arriaga Car Accident: An accident that occurred on Saturday on Highway 101 in south Monterey County and resulted in fatalities is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol. Highway 101 at Gloria Road was closed in both directions as the California Highway Patrol conducted an investigation. CHP said that the collision took place at approximately 11:45 a.m. and involved a total of five automobiles. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 15-year-old male from Salinas was operating a 2021 Chevrolet 2500 that was pulling a trailer in the southbound direction on Highway 101. Another Chevrolet Colorado was struck by the Chevrolet 2500 that was in front of them.
As a result of losing control, the Colorado flipped over. The Colorado’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, and the passenger was sent to Natividad Medical Centre for treatment of his injuries he sustained. According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, the individual who was driving the Colorado was identified as Omar Arriaga, who is 49 years old and hails from Salinas. The collision then set off a chain reaction, which resulted in the collision of three other vehicles.
There were no injuries sustained by either the driver or the passenger of the white Honda Accord. There were no injuries sustained by the driver of the white Chevrolet 2500. According to a press release issued by the California Highway Patrol, neither the driver nor the passenger of the maroon Toyota Sienna sustained any injuries. According to the California Highway Patrol, alcohol is not a factor that is thought to have contributed to the accident. There was a driver’s license for the 16-year-old.
