Anthony Carroll And Christian Markey Death: An incident that took place late on Monday night at the intersection of Veteran’s Parkway and West Jefferson Street in Springfield resulted in the terrible deaths of two individuals. The collision included two automobiles from different directions. The names of the two people who were killed in the collision have been released by the authorities. Anthony Carroll, a citizen of Lawrence County who was forty years old, was found to have passed away at the scene of the accident before he could be transported to a hospital. According to Jimmy Allmon, the coroner for Sangamon County, Carroll reportedly passed away as a result of injuries he sustained in the crash. This information was provided by Allmon.
Christian Markey, who was also from Springfield and was 28 years old, was transported to Springfield Memorial Hospital in an ambulance; however, he did not survive his arrival in the emergency department and passed away shortly after his arrival. When Carroll, who was driving a Buick Allure, was stopped at a red light while going south on Illinois 4 at Jefferson Street, the Illinois State Police responded to the accident. Carroll was involved in the collision. What happened was that Carroll was stopped at the signal when the collision took place.
His vehicle was involved in a collision with the Hyundai Accent that was being driven by Markey, which occurred from behind. Immediately following the incident, Carroll’s Buick caught fire and was completely consumed by flames. There are currently investigations being conducted by the Illinois State Police and the Sangamon County Coroner’s Office into the sequence of events that led up to the crash.
