Chelsea was an absolute bestie, ride-or-die type of person. The last thing she texted one of us was, “You’re amazing, you beautiful, stunning creature!!!” And that is the same way we felt about her.”
According to Fort Worth police, a wrong-way collision on Northwest Loop 820 on Sunday claimed the lives of five people, including a family of four.
Chelsea Cook, 33, has been identified as one of the victims. According to her family, she was riding in a pickup truck when it was hit by a car traveling in the opposite direction.
According to authorities, the collision occurred on Sunday at approximately 3:35 a.m. close to Marine Creek Reservoir. One of the small cars involved in the collision was already on fire when the cops arrived.
According to Fort Worth Police spokesman Tracy Carter, the Ford Focus was carrying a family of four. The collision claimed the lives of both parents and their kids.
Carter stated that the Ford Focus was heading east in the westbound lanes of Loop 820 when it struck head-on with a pickup truck and took fire. The identity of the driver is still unknown.
According to Carter, the truck driver lived, but his passenger—his fiancé, who was eventually identified as Cook—died in the collision. The man, whose family has named him as Evan Ranallo, was taken by first responders to JPS Hospital for medical attention.
Cook and Ranallo had recently gotten engaged in October.
