Born on June 15, 1996, in Somerset, Logan was the youngest of three siblings. From a young age, he exhibited a passion for life and a curiosity about the world around him. He attended Somerset High School, where he excelled not only academically but also in various extracurricular activities. Logan was particularly known for his talent in the arts, participating in theater and music, where his creativity shone brightly.
After graduating high school, Logan pursued a degree in Graphic Design at the University of Kentucky. His love for art and design was evident in his work, and he quickly made a name for himself in local circles as a gifted designer. Logan’s artistic vision was matched only by his willingness to help others, and he often volunteered his skills for community projects and events.
Logan’s warmth and infectious laughter endeared him to many. He had an uncanny ability to bring people together, often hosting gatherings that celebrated friendship and creativity. His home was a welcoming space where friends felt comfortable and valued. Logan’s positivity and encouragement inspired those around him to pursue their dreams and embrace their individuality.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Logan was an avid outdoorsman who loved exploring the beauty of Kentucky’s landscapes. Whether hiking the trails at Lake Cumberland or camping with friends, he found joy in nature and often shared his adventures through photography and social media. Logan believed in living life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same.
Logan is survived by his parents, Michael and Sarah Whitewood, his siblings, Emily and Jake, and a multitude of friends who loved him dearly. His family and friends will remember him for his compassion, humor, and the way he brightened every room he entered.
A celebration of Logan’s life will be held on November 5, 2023, at the Somerset Community Center. Friends, family, and all whose lives he touched are invited to share stories and memories in honor of his vibrant spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a local arts organization, reflecting Logan’s passion for creativity and community.
As we remember Logan Whitewood, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and artistic expression. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy of kindness and inspiration will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Rest in peace, Logan. You have left a lasting impact on our lives, and your light will forever shine in our memories.
