We are heartbroken to share the tragic news of the passing of Tellico Plains High School senior Darrah Wiseman, who lost her life in a car accident last night.
A cherished member of her school and the broader community, Darrah touched many lives with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication.
She was deeply involved in school activities, where her bright personality and positive spirit inspired her peers, teachers, and everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Tragically, another student from Tellico Plains was also in the vehicle and is currently in the intensive care unit, fighting for recovery. The entire community is rallying to support this student and both families during this unimaginable time.
Darrah was the beloved daughter of Chris and Melissa Wiseman and the cherished sister of Malerie Wiseman. Her loss leaves a profound void in their lives and in the hearts of her friends, classmates, and all who knew her.
Knoxville Youth Athletics has organized a meaningful tribute to honor Darrah at the upcoming TSSAA State Cross Country Meet. Special wristbands will be distributed in her memory, and participants can pick them up at the MileSplit tent during the event.
This gesture aims to bring her presence to the competition she loved, allowing friends, fellow athletes, and supporters to remember her spirit and her passion for running.
