A one-year-old boy, identified as Adriel Estevan Garcia, tragically died after being struck by a vehicle in Valley Center on November 4, 2024.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 a.m. on Morningstar Road, near the Rincon Reservation. According to authorities, Garcia’s mother was attending to her other child when the toddler wandered outside.
After a family member inquired about the child’s whereabouts, they found him lying in the street, having been hit by a vehicle.
Garcia was taken to a nearby hospital but did not survive his injuries. The driver responsible for the hit-and-run left the scene, and there are currently no details available regarding the suspect vehicle.
