A fatal crash occurred early Saturday morning in west Birmingham, resulting in the death of a 47-year-old man. The incident took place at 12:05 a.m. on Woodland Avenue S.W. at Madison Avenue S.W.
According to authorities, the cause and circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, and the investigation is ongoing. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Daryl Sherard Peeples, a Birmingham resident. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:25 a.m. by responding medical personnel.
