A devastating loss has shaken the Birmingham music community with the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Antonio Dewayne Wright II, known by his stage name “T-TwoRaw.” Wright, a rising star in the local music scene, was found unresponsive in a residential driveway in Hueytown on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Wright was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:39 p.m. after emergency responders were unable to revive him. The shooting occurred around 12:17 p.m. in the 1700 block of 28th Avenue.
Hueytown Police Chief Mike Yarbrough stated that the shooter and all witnesses are cooperating with the ongoing investigation. However, the details surrounding the shooting, including the motive and relationship between Wright and the shooter, have not been disclosed.
Wright’s mother, Michelle Outsey, confirmed his death in an emotional social media post, alleging that a woman was involved in the incident. Outsey expressed grief and frustration, claiming the woman had posted and later removed a picture of her son online.
