Leon Ratcliff Obituary, Death; – Houston Police have confirmed the identities of both the victim and the suspect involved in a shooting that occurred on November 29 in north Houston shortly before 1 a.m.
According to investigators, a dispute between 69-year-old Leon Ratcliff and 64-year-old Marcus Tucker took place in the 2600 block of Melbourne Street, which escalated into the shooting incident. Upon their arrival, law enforcement found Ratcliff lying in the street with a gunshot wound. He was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Witnesses reported that Ratcliff was being pursued by a black SUV when individuals inside the vehicle began firing at him. Following the shooting, Ratcliff collapsed, and the SUV fled the scene. On November 30, Tucker was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, facing a charge of murder. As of this report, no bond has been established. The investigation into this shooting remains ongoing.
