Oscar Lopez Obituary, Death; – A man has been apprehended and charged with murder following the fatal shooting of his next-door neighbor during a physical altercation on Thanksgiving, according to police reports.
The incident took place shortly after 10 p.m. on November 24 in the 1200 block of East Davis Avenue in Fort Worth. Authorities stated that Caspian Swinney, 26, dialed 911 to inform them that he had shot a man outside his residence and was currently hiding inside with his father.
As detailed in an arrest affidavit, Swinney claimed to law enforcement that he shot his unarmed neighbor after the latter threatened him and struck him in the face. The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Oscar Lopez, who was a father to two young children. Police reported that Lopez’s wife and children were present in their home at the time of the incident.
