Javon Gayton,Tavian Howard Obituary, Death; – The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office has confirmed the identities of the two men who were fatally shot during a gunfire exchange on Thanksgiving in Fort Worth.
Eighteen-year-old Javon Gayton succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while 23-year-old J Tavian Howard was transported to a hospital, where he later died. Both individuals sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
Police responded to a shooting report around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday in the 2800 block of Broadmoor Drive, close to Calmont Avenue, and discovered three individuals who had been shot. A third victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Investigators found that one of the men, referred to in the news release as “victim 1,” was inside a vehicle with an unidentified individual when two suspects approached and gunfire ensued. The unidentified individual fled the scene on foot and remains at large as of Friday. No arrests have been made in connection with this incident. The investigation is still active.
