Steven Litten, a 69-year-old resident of Gettysburg, tragically passed away on December 3, 2024, from injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on November 19, 2024. The incident took place in Berwick Township, just north of Hanover, and involved five vehicles. Litten was one of three individuals who became trapped in their vehicle after the crash.
According to authorities, the collision occurred in the early afternoon when several vehicles on the busy road were involved in a chain reaction. Litten, who was driving one of the vehicles, was extricated from the wreckage and rushed to a nearby hospital with critical injuries. Despite extensive medical efforts to save him, Litten succumbed to his injuries nearly two weeks later.
