Born on March 4, 1952, in Cleveland, Chloe was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Harris) Mack. She grew up in Cleveland and spent her life devoted to her family and community. Chloe was known for her warm and welcoming nature, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word to those in need.
Chloe’s passion for helping others led her to a long and fulfilling career as a community organizer and advocate. She worked tirelessly for various local charities, helping to improve the lives of Cleveland residents and ensure that those in need received support. Chloe was also deeply involved in her church, where she volunteered regularly and served as a mentor to many young people.
Above all, Chloe was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. She was the proud mother of two children, Thomas and Jessica, and a doting grandmother to four grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy. Chloe’s family was the center of her world, and she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them throughout her life.
Chloe’s warm spirit and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a woman of immense compassion, always putting others before herself. Whether she was hosting family gatherings, volunteering her time, or simply spending time with loved ones, Chloe’s presence was a source of comfort and strength.
Chloe is survived by her two children, Thomas (Emily) Mack and Jessica (David) Thompson; her four grandchildren, Sarah, Ethan, Olivia, and James; and her beloved sister, Deborah (John) Allen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, James Mack.
A memorial service to celebrate Chloe’s life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Cleveland Community Church, followed by a reception in the church hall. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cleveland Food Bank, a cause Chloe supported throughout her life.
