Jose Deras Obituary, Death; – Authorities have identified a man who lost his life in a collision between a box truck and a large truck on the southbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Long Beach. The incident took place shortly after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, near Wardlow Road, as reported by the California Highway Patrol and the Long Beach Fire Department.
Jose Deras, aged 31, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner and the CHP. The southbound lanes of the freeway were closed during the investigation.
