Luis Enrique Herrera-Valenciana Obituary, Death; – A man from Leeds, identified as Luis Enrique Herrera-Valenciana by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, was shot and killed earlier this week.
The Leeds Police Department reported that the shooting also resulted in a critical injury to an unidentified woman. Officers responded to a shooting incident at approximately 12:55 p.m. at a mobile home located in the 700 block of Morgan Street.
Herrera-Valenciana, aged 25, was declared dead at the scene, while the female victim was rushed to UAB Hospital with severe injuries to her torso. A male suspect was apprehended at the location. Authorities suspect that the shooting was related to domestic issues. This incident marks the second fatal shooting in the city this month, following the death of a 75-year-old man on December 10.
