David Cardoso Obituary, Death; – Toronto police have confirmed the identity of a man who succumbed to injuries sustained from a stabbing during a prolonged altercation in the Corso Italia neighborhood over the weekend.
The incident occurred on Saturday near the intersection of St. Clair Avenue West and Nairn Avenue, situated just east of Lansdowne Avenue. Authorities reported that they received a call regarding the situation shortly before 3 a.m.
It is alleged that a male individual was stabbed amid a confrontation involving a group of people outside the premises.
Emergency medical services transported the victim to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old David Cardoso, a resident of Toronto. He marks the 84th homicide victim in the city this year.
In connection with the incident, 31-year-old Nelson Raposo Vidinha, also from Toronto, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He is set to appear in bail court on Monday.
