Upon arrival, the New Orleans Police Department discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. All victims were transported to a hospital, where two were reported to be in stable condition, one was undergoing surgery, and a woman succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased has been identified as 27-year-old Yasmeen Webb. The other victims include a 40-year-old man, a 24-year-old man, and a 39-year-old woman. Witnesses recounted hearing gunfire and fleeing the area.
“Everyone just ran to the back. I hid behind the bar, and then we were instructed to move to the back, where people were collapsing. Someone injured themselves, likely due to falling glass,” stated a witness.
An investigation led by the NOPD resulted in the acquisition of surveillance footage, which facilitated the identification of the vehicle involved in the shooting and the suspects. One suspect, 28-year-old Nicholas Miorana, has been apprehended. Authorities are still searching for 21-year-old Daniel Miorana and 23-year-old Darrell Adams.
Adams is also reportedly wanted for aggravated battery by shooting related to an incident on September 25. Each suspect faces one count of second-degree murder and three counts of attempted second-degree murder.
“She was someone I loved, and she loved me back. She was a caring individual who connected with people and would give anything. It is important to emphasize that she did not deserve this, not at all,” expressed a friend of the victim. NOPD Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick indicated that the shooting may have been a targeted act.
