It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Ken Montgomery Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, on December 25, 2024. Still hard to believe, the loss of such a kind, good-hearted, and humble man has left a void in our lives that can never be filled. Ken’s passing has shattered our world, and while our hearts are broken, we will forever cherish his memory and hold him close in our hearts.
Born on September 11, 1962, Ken Jr. was a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew him. From a young age, it was clear that Ken was special—his kindness, sense of humor, and deep love for life were qualities that drew people to him. He had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcome and appreciated, and his infectious laugh could fill any room with joy. Whether it was working on cars in the shop, racing at the track, or spending time with his family, Ken’s enthusiasm for life was unmatched.
Ken met the love of his life, Gina, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support for one another. Their love story was one of true partnership, grounded in respect, mutual admiration, and a deep commitment to their family. As a father to his son Kenny III, Ken was devoted and endlessly proud. He was an ever-present figure in his son’s life, attending every football game and creating memories that will forever live in Kenny’s heart. Ken instilled in his son the same values that defined him—integrity, kindness, and the importance of family. Those values, along with his love, will continue to guide Kenny as he grows, always remembering the lessons his father taught him.
Ken’s love for his family extended beyond his immediate household. He was a cherished son to his mother, Angie, and a caring brother to his siblings, Stacey, Shawn, and Scott. His bond with them was unbreakable, built on years of shared experiences, laughter, and support. His nieces and nephews adored him, and his presence brought warmth and joy to family gatherings. His family will forever carry his memory and the many lessons he imparted to them.
Ken was predeceased by his father, Ken Sr., and his beloved mother-in-law, Barbara DePace. He was also preceded by his grandparents, January and Lena Beal, and John and Irene Montgomery. His love for his family, including his cherished pets Max, Domino, and Jett, was evident in everything he did. Ken’s devotion to his dogs was unwavering, and they brought him great joy and comfort in his life.
Ken had a way of making everyone feel special, whether they were family, friends, or strangers. His warm hugs, encouraging words, and boundless generosity were just a few of the things that made him stand out. Whether you knew him from the racetrack, from enjoying time down the shore, or from his work at the shop, Ken’s presence was always a source of positivity. He was the kind of person who made others feel valued, never hesitating to lend a helping hand or offer his support to those in need. His kindness was contagious, and his generous spirit will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Ken’s life was full of meaning, purpose, and love. He was a man who lived with intention, always putting his family first, and doing everything in his power to create a better life for them. His devotion to his loved ones was evident in all he did. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family, and his legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering support will continue to resonate through their lives. Though Ken’s time with us was far too short, the impact he made on all who knew him will never be forgotten.
As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we also celebrate the incredible life Ken led. He was a beacon of light, love, and positivity, and his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him. Ken’s legacy is one of generosity, compassion, and a deep devotion to his family. He showed us all how to love fully and live with purpose, and his memory will serve as a guide for us as we navigate life without him.
