Crystal Williams Obituary, Death; – A woman from Kansas lost her life in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70 on Thursday evening.
According to the Independence police, the driver of a Ford Focus collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer in the westbound lanes of I-70 near Noland Road shortly after 8 p.m. Investigators reported that the truck had come to a stop due to a vehicle in front of it.
The driver of the Ford Focus, identified as 39-year-old Crystal Williams from Lawrence, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Emergency responders transported a passenger from the Ford Focus to a hospital with serious injuries. There were no other injuries reported among those involved in the incident.
