The final person killed during a terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day has been identified.
Family confirms that Latasha Polk, 47, was killed when the suspect plowed through Bourbon Street crowds, firing shots before a New Orleans Police Department officer shot and killed him.

Polk was the mother of a 14-year-old son. According to Regnicea Butler, Polk’s sister, the French Quarter was her favorite spot.
Butler described her as hardworking and a certified nursing assistant. Polk’s name and photo were draped across the final cross at a growing memorial at the site of the attack.
A total of 14 people were killed. President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are set to meet with the grieving families on Monday.
