Jack D Brinkoetter Death; – A 10-year-old boy lost his life, and another sustained severe injuries while being towed on an innertube by an all-terrain vehicle on Sunday around noon. As reported by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office, the ATV operator made a turn on a slope, resulting in the innertube being propelled into a large boulder.
The two boys were transported to nearby hospitals, where they were treated for serious injuries. Authorities confirmed that Jack D. Brinkoetter was declared deceased at Decatur Memorial Hospital shortly after his arrival.
The other 10-year-old boy was admitted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries. Both children were fifth-grade students at Mt. Zion Intermediate School in Illinois.
