Jackie G. McGee, 81, formerly of Athens, Ohio passed away on December 31, 2024, at his residence in Warsaw, Ohio.
Born December 15, 1943, in Pontiac, Michigan, Jackie moved to Athens, Ohio as a child. Jackie was the son of Raymond (Inez) McGee and Dorothy Yocum.
Before retirement, Jackie was employed by Vanadium Tool in Athens, Ohio. He was an avid hunter in his younger years, he enjoyed attending family reunions and loved spending time with his large family.
He is survived by his wife, Dianne McGee; his five daughters, Janet (Jimmie) Davis of Chauncey, Jackie (Chad) Chadwell of Amesville, Vickie Taylor of Rutland, Vermont, Joyce Barr of Athens, and Jonetta Carson of Zanesville; a son, Daniel (Wendy) McGee of Milford Center; additionally two step-daughters with his wife, Dianne, Rita (Benny) Huston and Michelle (Paul) Underwood, both of Warsaw, Ohio.
Jackie leaves behind 24 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and two additional great-grandchildren who will join this earth in 2025.
He is also survived by four brothers and five sisters, James (Vida) Ailshire, Jacob Martin, Jimmy McGee, Ricky McGee, Carol Lee, Juanita Mavious, Annabelle (Eddie) Hicks, Annette Stamm, and Jane Pelikan.
Besides his parents, Jackie was preceded in death by his first wife of 34 years, Joy R. McGee; six brothers, Jerry McGee, Raymond McGee, Bernard McGee, Billy McGee, Bobby McGee and Howard Martin; four sisters, Alice Martin, Linda McGee, Cynda Arce, and Shirley Thompson; two sisters-in-law, Helen Martin and Mary McGee; a brother-in-law, David Stamm; a son-in-law, Richard Taylor; a grandson, Brandon Taylor; a great granddaughter, Paisleigh Hartley; and a nephew, Johnnie McGee.
Friends and family are welcome to attend services at 2 p.m. on Wednesday January 8, 2025, at the Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville with Bobby Thompson officiating. A visitation will take place on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until the time of service. A caring cremation will follow.
