Jason was born on June 10, 1982, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to his loving parents, Thomas and Carol Franks. Growing up in the small, tight-knit community of Winneconne, Jason developed a strong sense of loyalty and responsibility, which would remain with him throughout his life. As a child, Jason was known for his adventurous spirit, quick wit, and deep empathy for others.
He always made time for his family and friends, whether it was lending a hand or sharing a good laugh. Jason’s energy and charm were infectious, and he had a way of making everyone around him feel valued and appreciated. Jason attended Winneconne High School, where he was well-liked by both his peers and teachers. He excelled in sports, particularly in football, where he played as a standout player and developed lifelong friendships. His natural athleticism and team spirit earned him respect on and off the field.
Outside of sports, Jason had a keen interest in the arts, particularly music, and often found solace in playing guitar and writing songs. He had a creative side that not only brought him joy but allowed him to connect with others on a deeper level. After graduating from high school, Jason went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he earned a degree in Business Management.
He quickly applied his skills and education, taking on various jobs throughout the years, all of which he approached with the same dedication and work ethic that defined him. Jason was a hardworking and reliable individual, and his commitment to providing for his family was evident in everything he did. He took great pride in his career, always striving to do his best and take on new challenges.
However, what truly defined Jason was his role as a father. Jason was the proud father of two children, Alyssa and Zachary, whom he adored beyond measure. They were the center of his world, and Jason poured his heart and soul into being a dedicated and loving father. His children were his greatest joy, and he worked tirelessly to create a life filled with love, guidance, and support for them.
Whether it was cheering them on at their sports events, helping with their homework, or simply spending time together, Jason was always present, always there for his children. His deep love for Alyssa and Zachary was evident to anyone who knew him, and he was a constant source of encouragement and strength for them. Jason’s generosity extended far beyond his family.
He was a loyal friend to many, always willing to lend an ear or offer help whenever it was needed. His compassionate nature meant that he would often go out of his way to support those around him, whether it was offering a ride to a friend in need or volunteering his time for community events. Jason had a heart of gold and was always ready to support his loved ones, no matter the circumstances.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Jason enjoyed spending time in nature, whether it was hiking, camping, or simply taking long walks with his dog. He appreciated the simplicity and beauty of the world around him, and this love for nature was something he shared with his family and friends. Many fond memories were made around campfires, fishing trips, and backyard gatherings, where Jason’s laughter and storytelling brought warmth to those who were lucky enough to be in his company.
Jason was also a passionate advocate for his community. He was actively involved in local organizations and was always ready to lend his time and effort to causes that were close to his heart. Jason believed in the power of community and the importance of looking out for one another. Whether it was helping a neighbor with home repairs, organizing fundraisers for local charities, or simply offering a helping hand, Jason consistently demonstrated his dedication to making his community a better place.
Despite the many challenges life presented, Jason never lost his positive outlook. His sense of humor, infectious smile, and ability to find the silver lining in difficult situations made him a beacon of light to those who knew him. He had an extraordinary ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and his legacy will live on in the many lives he touched. Jason was the kind of person who made the world a better place just by being in it, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Jason is survived by his two children, Alyssa and Zachary; his parents, Thomas and Carol Franks; his sister, Michelle Franks; his brother-in-law, Brian Larkins; his niece, Emma Larkins; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
