Cameron Ward, a talented performer and formal trainee in AFYT, now known as TimpYT. Ward touched the lives of many both on and off the stage. Has died on 19th January, 2025.
Cameron Ward passed away early Sunday morning, Ward family and the local theater community in deep mourning.
Cameron was a bright light whose kindness and immense talent made a lasting impression on everyone he met. He began his theater journey in 2013, when he joined the youth theater program AFYT, now known as TimpYT. Over the years, Cameron worked tirelessly to hone his craft, and those who had the privilege of working with him were in awe of his dedication and natural talent. His last production with the company was in 2020, when he took on the role of Kristoff in Frozen Jr. It was a performance that many will never forget, as Cameron’s charm and energy lit up the stage.
Cameron’s love for the performing arts extended far beyond that one production. In recent years, he had opportunities to perform with various local theater companies, including Hale Center Theater Orem, Sundance, Scera, and West Valley Arts, among many others. His talent was undeniable, and those who worked with him admired not only his abilities as a performer but also his humility and grace. Cameron had a unique ability to connect with people, and his sweet, gentle spirit made him a beloved figure in the local theater scene.
As the news of his passing spread, an outpouring of love and support from friends, fellow performers, and theater communities has flooded in. A viewing for Cameron will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. All events will take place at 6050 W Chapel Drive, Highland, UT.
