Marquise Scott Death – Late Saturday night, Tuscaloosa police responded to a fatal shooting at Creekwood Village Apartments, located at 1750 40th Avenue. Officers were dispatched at approximately 11:10 p.m. on January 18, 2025, after reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, they discovered 22-year-old Marquise Scott dead inside an apartment. Scott had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Following an immediate investigation, police identified 25-year-old LaGabriel Jones as the suspect in the shooting. Witnesses provided critical information, and Jones was brought in for questioning.
