The victim of a fatal collision with an Amtrak train in a community in Eastern Carolina has been named by police.
After learning that a person had been struck by a train, Rocky Mount police said they were dispatched to the intersection of Main and Goldleaf streets shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact the police at 252-972-1411 or Crimestoppers at 252-977-1111, as the investigation is still underway.
