The identity of the man shot Wednesday night in Tarrant has been revealed.
According to the Tarrant Police Department, officers arrived at the 1500 block of Mountain Drive shortly after 7 p.m.
When police arrived, they discovered a man outside a house with many gunshot wounds. At the scene, he was declared dead.
The coroner identified him as Buford Troman White. Family and friends called him Pete. He was shot several times as he approached the house after arriving home.
When White’s mother heard a disturbance and went outside, she discovered her son unconscious. A thin man was seen fleeing the site as a passenger in a dark-colored sedan, according to a local witness.
