A man is recovering, and his wife is under arrest after a shooting that occurred in Joppa, MD.
On January 23, 2025, at approximately 3:05 p.m., patrol deputies assigned to the Southern Precinct of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 700 block of Pickerel Place for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located the juvenile 911 caller and a female, later identified as the suspect, exiting the home. One victim, identified as Joseph Milne, 35, of the same address, was located inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported by the Maryland State Police Medivac, to a trauma center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Early investigation indicates Milne and his wife, identified as Evelyn Milne, 34, were involved in an altercation that resulted in the suspect shooting her husband.
The suspect was taken into custody, at the scene, and transported to the Harford County Detention Center where she was charged with 1st and 2nd degree attempted murder. After an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, Evelyn Milne, is held without bail.
While charges have been filed, the investigation is continuing.
