The Grant County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) is investigating a shooting that left an adult female dead and a juvenile injured.
Deputies responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on Grant 56 on January 22. Upon arrival, they found an adult female and a juvenile with gunshot wounds.
Despite efforts to save her life, the adult female was pronounced dead at the scene. The juvenile was transported to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, where they are reported to be in stable condition.
Authorities have confirmed that Jason Rucker has been arrested in connection with the incident. He is currently being held at the Sheridan Detention Center as the investigation continues.
The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is actively gathering evidence and encourages anyone with information about the case to come forward.
