Kejuan Kenneth Evans Gibson Obituary, Death; – Birmingham police were dispatched to a homicide scene on Thursday evening.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:22 p.m. in the 1400 block of 12th Avenue North, as reported by the Birmingham Police Department. This location is situated in the Fountain Heights neighborhood, not far from Oak Hill Cemetery.
Officers arrived in response to several reports of a shooting in the vicinity and discovered a man lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as 29-year-old Kejuan Kenneth Evans Gibson, a resident of Birmingham. The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service attempted to administer life-saving measures at the scene before transporting him to UAB Hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities believe that the victim resided in the area and was engaged in a dispute with an unidentified individual who then shot him. Currently, no suspects are in custody.
