Jackson Lane Midlothian VA Obituary, Death: With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to our beloved Jackson Southall Lane, who tragically passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 30. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Jackson touched the lives of all who knew him with his infectious spirit, unwavering kindness, and boundless love. His sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled, but his memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
Jackson’s greatest joy in life was being a father to his precious son, Noah. From the moment Noah was born, Jackson embraced fatherhood with deep love and devotion. He cherished every moment, whether playing catch in the backyard, teaching him about the world, or simply holding him close. He was Noah’s biggest supporter, protector, and role model—qualities that will continue to guide his son in the years to come. Jackson was born on January 12, 1995, in Midlothian, VA, to Mark Lane and Diana Rathbun. From an early age, he was full of energy, curiosity, and an adventurous spirit.
He grew up surrounded by family who adored him and instilled in him the values of hard work, integrity, and kindness. A talented athlete, Jackson attended Manchester High School, where he excelled in baseball. His love for the game was evident every time he stepped onto the field, and his dedication earned him the opportunity to play at Christopher Newport University. While at CNU, he not only honed his skills as a baseball player but also developed lifelong friendships and pursued his passion for Mass Communications, earning his Bachelor’s Degree.
After college, Jackson embarked on a successful career in project management, where his leadership, problem-solving skills, and determination helped him thrive. However, his love for sports and mentoring never faded. He dedicated time to coaching and mentoring young baseball players, sharing his knowledge and passion for the game, and leaving a lasting impact on those he guided. In addition to his love for baseball, Jackson was also an avid golfer. His enthusiasm for the sport led him to establish Boomer’s Golf Garage, where he specialized in repairing and customizing golf equipment.
Through this venture, he combined his technical skills with his love for the game, creating a space where fellow golfers could find quality craftsmanship and a shared passion for the sport. Jackson had an incredible sense of humor, one that could bring laughter to even the most difficult days. He had a magnetic personality that made everyone feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated. Whether he was cracking jokes, telling stories, or simply offering a kind word, he had a way of brightening the lives of those around him.
Jackson found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He loved spending quiet evenings by the fire pit, watching the stars with his binoculars, and listening to the sounds of nature. His appreciation for birds became a cherished hobby, and he found peace in observing them from his backyard. His love for Philadelphia Eagles football was unwavering. Jackson cheered for his team with unmatched enthusiasm, celebrating victories and enduring losses with equal passion. His love for Nottingham Forest F.C. in soccer also ran deep, and he enjoyed discussing matches with fellow fans.
He was also an outdoorsman at heart. He loved fishing with his dad and friends, enjoying the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the catch. These moments, spent in the company of loved ones, were some of his most treasured memories. But above all else, Jackson’s greatest source of happiness was his family. He was a dedicated husband to Lindsay, a loving father to Noah, a caring son to Mark and Diana, and a loyal brother to Pamela, Andrew, and Kaylee. His nieces and nephew adored him, and his cousins, aunts, and uncles cherished the time they spent with him.
His bond with family was unbreakable, and he always made sure they knew how much he loved them. Jackson’s passing is an immeasurable loss, but his legacy of love, kindness, and joy will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched. He leaves behind a family that will forever cherish his memory and a community that is better for having known him.
