The identification of the person involved in a fatal crash has been verified by Omaha authorities. Around 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, the collision happened near 132nd Street and West Center Road.
A 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan was moving east when it collided with a 2020 Chevy Silverado that was also going east, according to police reports. The Volkswagen then lost control of the vehicle and struck a post.
The driver, named as Linda Moon, 64, was taken to the hospital and subsequently declared dead. None of the Silverado’s passengers were hurt. The circumstances behind the tragedy are still being investigated.
