The Killarney family is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of experienced Superbike racer Brad Bodsworth, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a high-speed crash during the second Superbike race at the Power Series event on Saturday, 1 February.
Brad was larger than life in every way, a big man with a big heart and an even bigger grin that lit up his face every time he talked about racing—it was said of him that he could spend half an hour describing a single lap of a race. Generous to a fault, he was always ready to lend a hand, or a spanner or even a motorcycle, whenever a friend needed it.
He lived every facet of his life to the full, from his business in the fitness industry to building his own fitness in the gym, to racing Superbikes and, above all, to his life with his partner Lauren and her three children.
Our hearts and our prayers go out to them, and to his mother Lise; a bright light among the Killarney family has been taken from us, and all our lives are darker for it.
