Florida Obituary – Luke was born on March 5, 1995, in St. Augustine, Florida, to Michael and Sarah Gibson. He grew up in Jacksonville, where he graduated from Sandalwood High School. Known for his adventurous spirit and love of life, Luke quickly became the heart of every room he entered. With a warm smile and a zest for life, he was beloved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
From a young age, Luke had a passion for motorcycles, a passion he inherited from his father, Michael, who shared his love of riding. Luke got his first bike at the age of 16 and quickly became an avid motorcyclist. He loved the freedom of the open road, the wind in his hair, and the thrill of adventure that came with every ride. His friends and family would often hear about his latest journeys across the state, where he made countless memories on his motorcycle. His love for riding also led him to join a local motorcycle club, “The Road Warriors,” where he formed lifelong friendships with like-minded individuals who shared his enthusiasm.
Luke’s personality was magnetic. He was the kind of person who could brighten anyone’s day with just a few words. His friends admired him for his loyalty, his infectious sense of humor, and his ability to make them laugh, even in the hardest of times. He was a friend you could always rely on, someone who would drop everything to be there for you.
Luke’s life was tragically cut short on February 12, 2025, when he was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident while riding on Beach Boulevard in Jacksonville. Despite the efforts of emergency responders and medical teams, Luke succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The news of his passing has devastated his family, friends, and the entire community. He was taken far too soon, leaving a profound emptiness in the lives of all who knew him.
Luke is survived by his parents, Michael and Sarah Gibson; his younger sister, Emily Gibson, and her fiancé, Nathaniel Hayes; his fiancée, Jessica Turner; and his cherished niece, Ava. He was a deeply devoted son, a loving sibling, and a dedicated partner. His loss is immeasurable, but his family finds comfort in the fact that Luke lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Beyond his love for motorcycles, Luke had a wide range of interests that made him a well-rounded individual. He was also passionate about fishing, hiking, and music. A memorial service to celebrate Luke’s life will be held on February 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Beaches Chapel in Jacksonville, Florida. The service will be followed by a motorcycle procession, as Luke would have wanted, to honor his love for riding. All who wish to pay their respects are welcome to join the family in remembering a man who lived with passion and left too soon.
