Quinton Javar Davis Obituary, Death; – A man from Hickory has been apprehended in relation to a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred on Wednesday morning, according to police reports.
Hickory Police responded to notifications regarding an individual lying on U.S. 70 SE, close to the Interstate 40 overpass, at approximately 8 a.m. on Wednesday. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the deceased body of 40-year-old Quinton Javar Davis, a resident of Catawba.
Investigators established that Davis had been struck by a 2011 Ford F-150 pickup truck, with the driver identified as 58-year-old Russell Cornell Bell. Detectives successfully located Bell and took him into custody. He faces charges of felony hit and run resulting in death and is currently being held on a bond of $50,000.
