Neil Caudle Bendena, KS, Obituary, Death: Neil Eddie Caudle, 55, of Bendena, KS, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, on the family farm. Neil’s life was one of devotion to his family, his faith, and his work. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a true pillar of his community.
Born on November 17, 1969, in St. Joseph, Missouri, Neil was the son of Roger and Donna (Ricklefs) Caudle. A lifelong resident of Bendena, he grew up on the farm where he would later raise his own family. His strong connection to the land and the love for raising cattle were central to his life. Neil was a proud member of the Bendena community, and it was on this same farm that he built his legacy.
It was during his time at Kansas State that Neil met his future wife, Mlle Brocaw. They married on July 10, 1993, and together they moved to the Caudle Family farm, where Neil took over operations and worked tirelessly alongside Mlle. They raised three children and, in 2021, moved to town but continued to stay connected to the farm. Neil also served as an Ag Rep and Director for the Bendena State Bank, further solidifying his influence in the local community.
Neil’s faith played a central role in his life, providing him with strength and hope, particularly through his 20-year battle with brain cancer. A lifelong member of the Troy Christian Church, he served as an elder for many years. Neil’s deep love for Jesus guided him through both good times and tough years, and his faith gave him hope each day.
Neil’s greatest joys in life were centered around his family. He treasured spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His mornings were often spent at coffee club, and he loved working on the farm alongside his son, Brandon, and his trusted hired hand, Dan Earl. Neil’s love for K-State was well-known, and he proudly wore purple, attending and watching K-State games with enthusiasm.
Neil’s generous and kind-hearted personality touched the lives of many, and his infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to his family and community.
Neil was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dale and Lois Caudle, maternal grandparents Eddie and Alma Ricklefs, and his infant brother, Brian.
He is survived by his wife, Mlle; children, BreAnne (Jarrett) Pitman, Brandon (Chelsea) Caudle, and Calli (Alec) Richie; grandchildren Beckett Pitman, Nora Caudle, Drake Richie, and baby Baylor Richie, due in April; his parents, Roger and Donna Caudle; two brothers, Jeff (Tracie) and Todd (Kamille), all of Atchison, KS; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held in Neil’s honor on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Troy Christian Church in Troy, KS. A graveside service will follow at Moray Cemetery. Visitation with the family will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the church. Memorials in Neil’s memory are suggested to Troy Christian Church or Moray Cemetery.
Neil will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to have him in their lives.
