Monica was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and spent her entire life in Monroe Township. She graduated from Monroe Township High School in 1991 and later earned her associate’s degree from Middlesex County Community College. From an early age, Monica exhibited a passion for helping others and building meaningful connections, qualities that would guide her throughout her personal and professional life.
Monica’s career was marked by her dedication to excellence and a deep sense of hospitality. She began her professional journey in the restaurant industry, but it was her time working for Disney that truly shaped her approach to customer service. Her experience at Disney helped her develop a reputation for creating welcoming, positive experiences for everyone she encountered.
In time, Monica transitioned into the healthcare sector, where she would spend the next 28 years making a significant impact. As an Account Manager at Aetna, she was known for her outstanding work ethic, professionalism, and genuine care for those she served. While Monica’s career was impressive, her most cherished role was that of a mother. She raised four children—Zackary, Nickolas, Shealyn, and Corinne—pouring her love and energy into every aspect of their lives. Monica’s presence was felt at every school event, from PTO meetings to class celebrations, and she was a constant at her children’s hockey practices and tournaments. Her passion for being a “hockey mom” was particularly evident, as she embraced the community and found joy in supporting her children both on and off the ice.
Monica’s kindness extended well beyond her immediate family. She was known for her ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved.
