A devastating accident in Suffolk County has claimed the life of Brenda Ingraham, a Farmingville woman whose vibrant spirit and deep devotion to her children touched the lives of many.

Brenda, riding her 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, was fatally injured in a collision on Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2025. The crash occurred at approximately 1:17 p.m. when a 2018 Ford Explorer, traveling southbound on Blue Point Road, attempted to make a left turn onto Pinedale Avenue. Ingraham, heading northbound, was struck by the SUV during the turn.

First responders quickly arrived on the scene, and Brenda was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with critical injuries. Tragically, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The driver of the Ford Explorer, 38-year-old Thomas Biglow of Patchogue, sustained only minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

In the wake of the tragedy, Suffolk County Police impounded both vehicles involved in the collision to conduct safety checks as part of the ongoing investigation. The Sixth Squad detectives are leading the inquiry to determine the full circumstances of the crash.

Authorities have asked anyone with information to contact them at 631-854-8652. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through P3Tips.com, the P3 Tips mobile app, or by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, with rewards of up to $5,000 available.

The loss of Brenda Ingraham has left her family and friends reeling with grief. Described by loved ones as a devoted mother, hardworking, and kindhearted, Brenda leaves behind a son and a daughter who now face an unimaginable future without her.

In the hours following the announcement of her death, a relative launched a GoFundMe campaign to support her children during this difficult time. “My cousin just passed away today and we are all completely in shock,” they wrote. “She’s leaving behind her son and daughter… anything helps.”

The fundraiser quickly gained attention as members of the Farmingville and Long Island communities began sharing the campaign and offering messages of condolence.

Brenda was known by many for her love of life, her loyalty to her family, and her strength through challenging times. Her dedication to her children was unwavering, and she worked tirelessly to provide for them and create a stable, loving home.

Friends remember Brenda as someone who could brighten a room with her presence and often offered a listening ear or a helping hand to those in need. Her passion for motorcycles was a cherished part of her life, and those who rode alongside her recall her enthusiasm and respect for the road.

The tragic irony of her passing while doing something she loved has made the loss all the more difficult for those closest to her. In the days ahead, plans will be made to celebrate Brenda’s life and honor her memory.

Community members have come together, both in person and online, to support her children and pay tribute to the woman who meant so much to so many. The fundraiser continues to grow, with all proceeds dedicated to helping her son and daughter navigate life after this sudden and heartbreaking loss.

Brenda Ingraham’s death is not only a personal tragedy for her loved ones, but also a sobering reminder of the risks motorcyclists face every day on the road. As the investigation into the crash continues, her family seeks answers, justice, and above all, a path toward healing.

For now, the Farmingville community mourns a remarkable woman taken too soon. Brenda will be remembered for her strength, her heart, and the love she gave so freely to her family. GoFundMe
