It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Hayley Clare Winter, a beloved mother, wife, daughter, and friend, on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 4, 1980, in Saint John, Hayley was the cherished daughter of Charlene (Hebert) Keyes and the late Clarence (Clare) Keyes. Hayley’s life was one of love, dedication, and warmth, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Hayley’s life was centered around her family. She was a devoted mother who always put her children first, choosing to stay at home with them during their formative years. Hayley was proud of the decision to raise her children at home, nurturing their development and creating a loving, supportive environment. As her youngest child, Corey, began school, Hayley decided it was time to pursue her education. She enrolled in college and eventually graduated, paving the way for a fulfilling career with the Canadian Red Cross. Her work there was deeply meaningful to her, as she dedicated herself to helping others in need. Hayley’s caring nature and unwavering commitment to her community left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

One of Hayley’s greatest joys was being a hockey mom. She spent countless hours at the rink, cheering for her children as they skated and played the sport they loved. Hayley’s passion for hockey extended beyond the rink; she and her husband, Troy, shared a love for the game that brought them even closer. Together, they traveled annually to Boston to attend NHL games, always supporting Hayley’s favorite team, the New York Rangers. These trips were a cherished tradition for the couple, filled with excitement, memories, and, of course, plenty of hockey talk.

In addition to her love for family and hockey, Hayley was an avid traveler. She saw each new destination as an opportunity to expand her collection of sneakers, a hobby that brought her great joy. Whether it was a weekend getaway or an international adventure, Hayley embraced the chance to explore the world and create lasting memories. Despite her busy lifestyle, Hayley found solace in quiet moments of relaxation. She was known to unwind with calming baths, often accompanied by her favorite bath bombs, taking time for herself in the midst of her bustling life.

Creativity was another aspect of Hayley’s vibrant personality. She loved gathering with friends to paint, create ceramics, and explore other crafts. Hayley’s artistic spirit shone through in everything she did, from the homemade gifts she gave to the beautiful pieces of art she created. Socializing and connecting with others were equally important to her. Hayley thrived on spending time with friends, making memories, and building meaningful relationships that would last a lifetime.

Hayley’s love for animals was well known, and her six beloved fur babies were a constant source of joy and companionship in her life. Whether it was cuddling with her pets at home or taking them for walks, Hayley’s bond with her animals was something she treasured deeply. Her fur babies will miss her dearly, as will all of the people who had the privilege of knowing her.

Hayley was predeceased by her beloved grandmother, Florence (Hanlon) Hebert, who held a special place in her heart. Their close bond was one of the defining relationships of Hayley’s life, and Florence’s memory lived on in her every day.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of 3BN Palliative Care for the care and support provided to Hayley during her final days. Special thanks are extended to nurses Cheyenne, Carolyn, and Kim, whose kindness and dedication made a difference in Hayley’s journey. The family is also grateful to the Oncology team—Dr. Hari Ondiveeran, Dr. Sara Alsadig, and Dr. Jessica Hemmings—for their unwavering support throughout Hayley’s battle. Their expertise, compassion, and care were instrumental in making Hayley’s final days as comfortable as possible.

Visitation will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, on Tuesday, June 10th, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 2:30 p.m. The family invites all who knew and loved Hayley to join them in celebrating her life and the impact she had on everyone around her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the local library in honor of Hayley’s love for learning and her commitment to her community. Hayley believed in the power of education and its ability to transform lives, and she was passionate about ensuring that future generations had access to the knowledge and resources they needed to succeed.

Hayley Clare Winter’s passing leaves a deep void in the lives of all who knew her. She was a devoted mother, a loving wife, a compassionate daughter, and a friend to all. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious enthusiasm will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of crossing her path. Hayley’s legacy will live on in the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

In the days and weeks ahead, as the family grieves the loss of their beloved Hayley, they will find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was a beacon of light, a source of joy, and a reminder of the importance of family, community, and love. Though Hayley is no longer with us, her memory will continue to inspire and guide us, and we will carry her with us in our hearts forever.

As we say goodbye to Hayley, we are reminded of the preciousness of life and the importance of cherishing every moment with those we love. Her legacy will endure, and she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Hayley, and thank you for the love, laughter, and warmth you shared with us all.
