Hart Allen, Atlanta, GA, Obituary: Pace Academy Mourns Loss of Beloved Student Hart Allen Following Tragic Accident
Atlanta, GA—June 25, 2025: The Pace Academy community is mourning the devastating loss of Hart Allen, a rising eighth-grade student who tragically died on June 21 due to electrocution.
Hart, who joined Pace in 2017, was more than a student—he was a cherished member of the school’s close-knit community. The school announced his passing with deep sorrow, remembering Hart as a young man who brought boundless humor, heart, and warmth to everything he did.
“Hart was the kind of student who lit up every room,” a Pace faculty member shared. “He was kind, inclusive, and genuinely loved by his classmates.
An accomplished athlete and Boy Scout, Hart’s passion for life extended beyond the classroom. He played water polo and lacrosse for Pace and was a proud member of the Thunder Lacrosse Club. In scouting, he had recently earned the Boy Scouts’ Life Rank and was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Arrow, a mark of his leadership, commitment, and character.
Hart is survived by his parents and three older siblings, all of whom have been part of the Pace family. His loss is deeply felt across the student body, faculty, and the broader Atlanta community.
A memorial service to celebrate Hart’s life will be held on Thursday, July 3, at 10 a.m. at The Cathedral of St. Philip, located at 2744 Peachtree Rd NW. Students and community members attending the service are encouraged to wear team jerseys, Scout uniforms, or Pace Academy gear in his honor.
Pace Academy has extended heartfelt condolences to the Allen family and is providing grief support services to students and families in the wake of the tragedy.
Hart Allen’s legacy of joy, kindness, and leadership will forever remain part of the spirit of Pace Academy.
Instead of flowers, the Allens invite families who may wish to donate in Hart’s memory to consider one of the following organizations:
