HOWLAND TWP., Ohio  – A devastating plane crash claimed the lives of all six people on board early Sunday morning in Howland Township. According to local authorities, there were no survivors.

The crash occurred around 7 a.m. in a wooded area behind a home between Spring Run Road and King Graves Road NE, just a few miles from the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. The aircraft, a Cessna 441 Conquest II — a small, twin-engine turboprop — was carrying two crew members and four passengers at the time of the incident.

Emergency responders from the Howland Fire and Police Departments quickly arrived at the scene, but tragically, no one on board survived. The identities of the victims have not yet been publicly released, pending notification of next of kin.

Officials held a press conference at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport at 5 p.m. Sunday to provide initial details. According to their statements, the plane had departed from the airport and was en route to Bozeman, Montana. It went down approximately seven minutes after takeoff.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Investigators are expected to examine the aircraft’s maintenance records, pilot credentials, flight data, and weather conditions at the time of the crash.

The Western Reserve Port Authority is working in coordination with federal and local agencies to assist with the ongoing investigation and recovery efforts.
