KINGSTREE, SC — The community of Kingstree is mourning the tragic and untimely deaths of two local teenagers, Mycheal Edwards-Wallace, 18, and Edwin Cooper, 16, who were fatally shot on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at the Kings Crossing Apartment Complex.
The Williamsburg County Coroner, Ivori L. Henryhand, formally identified the victims and confirmed that both young men succumbed to gunshot wounds at the scene. An autopsy for Mycheal and Edwin is scheduled to be performed on Saturday, July 5, 2025, as authorities continue to investigate the events that led to this devastating act of violence.
At 18, Mycheal Edwards-Wallace was standing at the threshold of adulthood, filled with hope and potential. Recently graduated, Mycheal was known for his vibrant personality, strong sense of humor, and fierce loyalty to his loved ones.
