Brandon Jacobs Provo UT Obituary and Death – Brandon Douglas Jacobs, aged 50, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 26, 1975, in Provo, Utah, Brandon was the beloved son of Douglas Earl Jacobs and Linda Louise Walker Jacobs. As the only brother among five sisters, he held a cherished place in the hearts of his family and made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Brandon’s early life was shaped by strong values of faith, family, and education. Raised in a spiritually rooted home, he exhibited kindness, intelligence, and quiet strength from a young age. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout—an early sign of his dedication to service and personal development.
His academic pursuits were remarkable. After graduating from Fort Vancouver High School, Brandon furthered his education at Ricks College, Utah State University, Caltech, and Peking University. His passion for philosophy led him to Cambridge University in the UK, where he earned a Master’s degree on a full scholarship. While at Cambridge, he also played varsity basketball and joined the prestigious Hawks’ Club, illustrating his unique blend of intellectual and athletic excellence.
Brandon was an adventurer at heart. He traveled to over 40 countries, spoke multiple languages, and was deeply curious about cultures and ideas. His conversations were thoughtful, whether centered on global politics, sports, or philosophy. His motto—“Let’s do it”—epitomized his enthusiasm for life and his fearless approach to new experiences.
Professionally, Brandon’s career spanned sales, consulting, and international business. Known for his integrity and clear thinking, he earned the trust of colleagues and friends alike. He led by example, always holding himself to high standards and offering honest, balanced insights.
His faith remained a guiding light throughout his life. Brandon served a mission in Helsinki, Finland, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints—a pivotal experience that deepened his spiritual convictions. He continued to serve faithfully in various church callings, never seeking the spotlight but always offering support and encouragement.
Despite enduring significant health challenges, Brandon remained optimistic and engaged. He found joy in books, fitness, cooking, and especially in time spent with his family. His resilience, warmth, and humility defined him, and he was deeply loved by all who knew him.
Brandon is survived by his mother, Linda Jacobs of Mapleton, Utah, and his five sisters: Shannon Hoover, Kamie Bolen, Kristie Barnhurst, Amber Jacobs, and Laura Holley. He also leaves behind sixteen nieces and nephews who looked up to him with deep affection. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas Earl Jacobs.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at 11162 North Alpine Highway, Highland, Utah, with a viewing from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Services are under the direction of Wheeler & Sundberg Funeral Homes of Springville, Utah.
