    What Happened

She also had a gold ring with an opal stone, a birthday gift that her sister stated she cherished and never took off. The boyfriend, who was later found to have an abusive relationship with Jeffrey, pawned the ring after her disappearance. He was never charged in her case but was imprisoned later for assaulting another girlfriend.
