    Woman Dies in Single-Vehicle Crash in Sandy Creek, Two Children Injured

    A woman has tragically died following a single-vehicle traffic crash in Sandy Creek on the afternoon of 4 August.

    What Happened

    At approximately 4:50 p.m., police and emergency services responded to reports of a crash on Sandy Creek Road. A white Toyota Landcruiser, traveling northbound, crashed into a tree. The 35-year-old driver, a woman from Sandy Creek, was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Injuries and Medical Response

    A 2-year-old girl sustained minor injuries, while a 6-year-old girl suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Both children were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for medical treatment.

    Investigation and Public Appeal

    The Forensic Crash Unit (FCU) is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are appealing for anyone with information or relevant vision of the crash to come forward and contact the police.
